Amazon WorkMail Is Ending: Switch to SimploMail Inbox for $1 a Month
AWS is ending Amazon WorkMail on March 31, 2027. After that date, customers will no longer be able to use the service. WorkMail also stopped accepting new customers on April 30, 2026.
If you currently use WorkMail for your business email, you still have time to move to another provider. Starting early gives you time to save your messages, configure your new email service, and test delivery before the deadline.
Keep your email address for just $1 a month
SimploMail Inbox lets you send and receive email using your own domain name. Each email address costs just $1 USD per month when you choose the annual plan, billed at $12 USD per year.
You can use a domain you already own and recreate your existing email address. So your customers can continue contacting you at the same address after you switch.
If you are building several SaaS products or mobile applications, each project may need its own email address. With SimploMail Inbox, five addresses cost just$5 USD per month.

Read and keep messages in your email application
Use your SimploMail Inbox address with a compatible email application on your computer or mobile device. You can send, receive, and read your business email through that application.
Your email application can download and keep messages for later, depending on its settings. Before switching, check that it is configured to save the messages you want to keep.
SimploMail Inbox works with the mail apps you already use. See the email clients you can use for the full list.
How to prepare for the switch
1. Save your existing WorkMail messages
Start with the email history you want to preserve.
AWS provides a mailbox export process that saves email messages and calendar items to Amazon S3. Contacts and tasks are excluded, so you need to save those separately. This export preserves your data, but it does not automatically import it into SimploMail Inbox.
If you use WorkMail calendars or other team features, plan how you will continue using those features with another service.
2. Set up your domain in SimploMail Inbox
Create your SimploMail Inbox account. Then set up your domain and the email addresses you want to continue using.
Follow the SimploMail setup guides to configure your domain and email application. The Getting Started guide walks you through adding your domain, creating an address, and turning it on. Prepare your new addresses before changing where incoming messages are delivered.
3. Update your DNS and test delivery
When your new email setup is ready, update your domain's email DNS records using the DNS records shown in SimploMail.
Then send and receive test messages. Keep access to WorkMail until you have confirmed that your new setup works and saved the data you need. Check your old mailbox for messages that arrive as the DNS changes take effect.
To connect your address to your mail app with the right IMAP, POP, and SMTP settings, follow Set up email on your device.
